Spiritual growth and development has defined the values of Firewheel Church from the beginning. Our mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus continues to guide every decision made to minister to those who are here now and those yet to come. From our worship, to our discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and evangelism, our focus is being the kind of God-honoring church that glorifies Him.

Psalm 119:15 says, “Your Word have I hidden in my heart ...” Hidden within the walls and floors of our current facility are scriptures and prayers that reflect the heart of God’s people in support of the ministry that takes place here. On January 8, 2006, Seal the Foundation was a time of celebration, not for anything we had done, but for the awesome things God had in store for the lives of more and more people. This opportunity stands before us once again.

theNEED

Attendance at Firewheel Church has essentially doubled since the first quarter of 2006. Creative measures [two worship services and new room allocations] have already been taken to accommodate the growth. Our space has been maximized.

theGOALS

"Beyond Measure" is a 2-year financial commitment campaign. While we are about people [not buildings], we acknowledge that dynamic people-centric ministry requires functional and cost-effective facilities. Here is what that will require:

• $1,900,000 - Beyond Measure Goal Gives us the ability to not only build the new construction debt-free and do more local ministry, but to go far beyond that to significantly increase mission work over the next eight years. Conservatively, working with nearly 100 mission churches, we could reach well more than 15,000 people with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. This is partially accomplished by an approximate $500,000 savings in mortgage interest.
• $1,500,000 - Challenge Goal The ability to do more ministry and add necessary staffing.
• $900,000 - Minimum Target New construction, and renovation to existing space, will be completely debt-free.

thePROJECT

Nearly 6,000 square feet of new construction will provide adequate space for our growing Nexus Student Ministry, additional classroom space, and restrooms. It will triple the size of The HUB (current student area), adding a coffeebar, to accommodate 300 students.

Driving a considerable portion of our growth, FC KIDS Club will undergo renovation to allow expansion from 200 to 300 children.

Looking ahead, the success of the Beyond Measure campaign will position us to begin moving toward Phase II of the master plan to more fully develop the 40 acres God has given us here.

theCOST

Here is a quick breakdown of the costs associated with the new construction:

• $750,000 Hard cost of new construction including renovation and thematic elements.
• $150,000 Soft costs related to geo-technical, civil, architectural/structural, permits, accessology, project management, and consulting.
